SPRING into our little Museum & Look Around!!!!

Happy Mother's Day & Graduation!

This is the homepage of The Merkel Area Museum!

We are located at 1501 N. 7th in Merkel Tx, Right off of Interstate 20!

Merkel is a small community about 15 miles west of Abilene Tx, Est 1881!

We are open 3 days a week! Tues and Thurs 9-5 and Sat 9-1 Come by and take a tour!

This museum encases everyday life from days gone by!

On our Mem./Donations page you can learn how to buy one of our historical books, donate to our cause, or to place a memorial to a loved one in a book or on site at our museum!

On the Merkel News page you can find out the date of the next meeting and upcoming events! You can also sign up for our monthly newsletter! We will try to add pictures to the newsletter so that you can see all of our hard work!

On the Supporters page you see the great supporters that The Merkel Museum has had the pleasure of meeting! For $15 you can get your company or name there for an ENTIRE YEAR!

We are a non-profit and except monetary donations as well as items that might have a place in our museum! Thank you!
